With a Master of Music degree in Collaborative Piano and Piano Performance, Mia is a highly skilled pianist specializing in collaboration with musicians across diverse genres. Her extensive experience spans performances with choirs, bands, vocalists, instrumentalists, and chamber ensembles in China, the US, and Canada.
Since arriving in Vancouver in 2015, Mia completed her Artist Diploma in Collaborative Piano Studies at the University of British Columbia, further refining her expertise in working alongside musicians in various performance settings.
Mia is passionate about providing professional piano accompaniment for a wide range of events, including auditions, music festivals, exams, and recitals. Her versatile skills and collaborative approach make her the ideal partner for musicians of all levels.
Teacher
With over 15 years of teaching experience, Mia has helped students of all ages achieve excellence in piano exams, competitions, and performances. Her students are actively involved in music performances, festivals and consistently excel in their musical endeavors.
Mia is a RCM Certified Teacher, with specialized qualifications in Advanced Piano, Harmony and Music History. She believes in a personalized approach to teaching, tailoring lesson plans to each student's individual needs, learning style, and goals. Mia is fluent in both Mandarin and English, and she can teach lessons in either language to suit your preference. Her goal is to bring out the best in each student, fostering both technical proficiency and a deep appreciation for the joy of making music, while helping students of all ages, from young children (ages 5 and up) to adults, reach their full potential.
